Labs are not showing due to pop ups being blocked, what should I do?

Modified on Fri, 09 Jun 2023 at 12:49 PM

Typically, you are Clicking the link pointing to the Lab within your course page. If you did click the lab icon as in the picture below and are not able to locate the window with your lab or nothing seems to happen, your lab actually could have started but the browser tab may have blocked the pop-up window from opening.

The window that should normally open would look like this:

If you can not find the lab window spawned up, and you are not able to find it in any of the open tabs, there could be an issue with the pop-up setting of the browser.  Maybe, your browser is set up to block pop-up windows.

Most of the time, pop-up blocker services are set to ‘enabled’ by default when you first install a new browser on your computer.

Today, the most common browsers available are Mozilla Firefox, Google Chrome, Opera, and possibly Safari if you’re a MacOS user.

Fortinet highly recommends using Chrome for all users.

The sections below will describe steps to enable your browser to open pop-up windows.

 For Firefox

In the Firefox address bar, enter in about: preferences , then press [ENTER]

By allowing pop-up windows to open, you may be able to see the missing windows that have courses and labs.

If all the above fails, raise a support ticket.
