How do I use the lab environment and support students remotely?

Lab Access

On the Training page both the Trainer and Student views will be similar, with the exception of the "Instructor Console" button only visible to the Trainer.

Please note that the Lab Guide is available only on student guide books which must be ordered by the ATC from Gilmore.

Please note that ending the session will stop the labs completely and cannot be undone. Using this option is not recommended.

Instructor Console

The Instructor console can be accessed:

1. By clicking the Instructor Console link on the main training page:

2. By clicking Instructor Console on the left side panel on the lab page:

The trainer can use "Actions" associated with each student to access their lab environment.

Any OS client which has the "Display (Shadow)" Service option can be accessed as a shadow screen as long as the student is connected to this resource. 

Please note that this option is not available to Fortinet applications - the Trainer will not be able to see the student view if they are connected to the app (FortiGate, FortiManager, etc) directly. Please advise students to connect via OS client.
