What will the recertification process be on October 15, 2025?

On October 15, 2025, apart from removing references to "core" and "elective" exams, certification renewal policies and procedures remain unchanged. The table shows re-certification options for each certification. Renew before expiration; if expired, complete initial requirements. Validity periods remain the same.

- Getting Started in Cybersecurity

- Technical Introduction to Cybersecurity

Or achieve or renew the FCX certification

Associate certification  (FCA)

Complete the NSE 3 course

Complete the initial certification requirements again:

  • Pass the NSE 4 + one NSE 5 for the certification track

Solution Specialist certifications (FCSS)

Complete the initial certification requirements again: 

  • Pass one NSE 6 + one NSE 7 for the certification track

Expert certification

 (FCX)

Pass the NSE 8 Written Exam, no earlier than 6 months before the FCX certification expires.
