What should I do to fix the "invalid date formatting error" I received when uploading my upcoming ATC public schedule sessions?

Modified on Wed, 5 Jun at 1:18 PM

If you receive the following invalid date, check date formatting error when uploading your upcoming ATC public sessions, it may be due to an unexpected date formatting change on the .csv application you're using.

The following steps will help to mitigate this error on MS Excel:

  1. Download the example.csv file from the Import Schedule page of the Manage ATC Public Schedule dashboard.
  2. Open the example.csv file on your MS Excel application.
  3. Select columns B (startdate) and (enddate).
  4. Right-click the selected columns, and then click Format Cells. The Format Cells widget will display.
  5. Under the Number tab, click Custom in the Category menu.
  6. In the Type field, enter YYYY-MM-DD HH:MM:SS. This is the format of the start and end date provided in the Import Information section of the Import Schedule page.
  7. Click OK.

Columns B (startdate) and (enddate) will now have the date and time format specified in the Import Information section of the Import Schedule page. You may now proceed with the file upload process.

For more information, follow the Import Information and the example import file provided on the Import Schedule page of the Manage ATC Public Schedule dashboard.
