Engage Equivalence Program **Only for Partner companies**

Modified on Mon, 27 Nov, 2023 at 6:10 PM

The Engage Equivalence designations were created to ensure that current valid NSE exams that count toward partner compliance before October 1, 2023, will count toward compliance today. These designations launched on October 1st, 2023, helped partner companies transition to the 2023 Engage Program compliance requirements, which are based on the updated NSE Certifications program.

Current valid NSE exams are the ones completed within two years of conversion (i.e. October 1, 2021, or more recent). Certifications that were “recertified” by completing a higher level NSE certification and do not have a current valid exam, will not receive a corresponding Engage Equivalence.

The Engage Equivalence designations are not certifications

  • While Engage Equivalence designations are given from previous individual achievements, they count toward Account Engage Program compliance.  The Engage Equivalence designations have no relevance at the individual level but at the partner company account level. For more information, see Engage Equivalence Program
  • Individuals received the updated NSE Certification as of October 1st, 2023, only if they have fulfilled the requirements of the updated NSE Certification structure. For more information, see NSE Certifications Transition Policies.

For example - An individual working for a Fortinet Partner company X, who only held the NSE4 Certification, achieved with a FortiOS exam passed on September 1st, 2023.

  • On October 1st, 2023, company X received the Engage Network Security FCP Equivalent designation, valid until September 1st, 2025. This counts towards the Partner Engagement compliance level.
  • The individual did not receive the FCP in Network Security certification. The individual has until September 1st, 2025 to fulfill the requirements to achieve the FCP in Network Security certification.
