On October 15, 2025, all certifications will require passing two exams. NSE 4 – 7 exams will be priced at $200, and the NSE 8 Written exam will remain at $400. Until then, exams for certifications that require passing only one exam will remain priced at $400.
Exams that are impacted by price changes are:
- FCSS - Public Cloud Security 7.6 Architect
- FCSS - OT Security 7.2
- FCSS - Advanced Analytics 6.7 Architect
- FCSS - Security Operations 7.4 Analyst
Before October 15, the FCSS - Public Cloud Security 7.6 Architect and the FCSS - OT Security 7.2 exams can each be purchased for $400 with a credit card or voucher, since the FCSS certification will be awarded after passing one exam. After October 15, these exams will be part of new certification paths requiring a second exam, and their price will change to $200.
Both exams will continue after October 15, but passing a single exam will no longer grant the FCSS certification after this date. If you already have an appointment for either of these exams after October 15, you can cancel it and get a refund, then repurchase the exam at the lower price after October 15. If you purchased your exam with an FTE4 voucher, you can keep it and use it for the NSE 8 Written exam, or cancel your appointment and contact the Fortinet Training Institute Help Desk to request two $200 replacement vouchers.
Before October 15, the FCSS - Advanced Analytics 6.7 Architect and the FCSS - Security Operations 7.4 Analyst exams can each be purchased for $400 with a credit card or voucher, since the FCSS in Security Operations certification will be awarded after passing one of these exams. On October 15, these exams will be discontinued and replaced with the NSE 7 – Security Operations 7.6 Architect exam, which can be purchased for $200, since earning the FCSS in Security Operations will also require passing one NSE 6 exam, also priced at $200. Although scheduling an appointment for the discontinued exams after October 14 is not possible, you may already have an appointment before October 15. If you prefer to earn the FCSS in Security Operations with one current exam, continue with your appointment. If you prefer to earn the new Security Operations exam badges instead, cancel the Advanced Analytics or the Security Operations Analyst exam before your appointment and get a refund, then purchase the NSE 7 Security Operations exam after October 15. (You must also pass one NSE 6 exam to earn the FCSS in Security Operations certification.) If you purchased your exam(s) with an FTE4 voucher, you can keep it and use it for the NSE 8 Written exam, or cancel your appointment and contact the Fortinet Training Institute Help Desk to request two $200 replacement vouchers.
Replacement vouchers will only be issued if the FTE4 voucher has been verified as not redeemed or cancelled and was requested by the original purchaser or recipient. The Fortinet Training Institute will not replace vouchers that have been resold, transferred to other users, or whose original recipient or purchaser cannot be verified.
