You can find the details of acceptable forms of ID either during your exam registration process or in the test appointment confirmation email notification by Pearson VUE.
Identification requirements:
- All IDs must be valid, not expired, government-issued originals, no photocopies
- The ID must include the test-taker's name, signature, and a recent recognizable photo
- The first and last name on the ID must match the first and last name used to register for the exam
Valid ID forms acceptable by Pearson VUE:
- International travel passport
- Driver's license
- Non-US Military ID (including spouse and dependants)
- Identification card (national, state, province)
- Registration card (green card, permanent residence, visa)
Unacceptable forms of ID:
- Renewal forms with expired IDs, government-issued name change documents with government ID
- Restricted IDs, such as IDs that are prohibited by law from being captured on camera, photocopied, or digitized
- Digital IDs
- IDs from countries where OnVUE delivery is restricted: North Korea, Cuba, Syria, Sudan, Iran, and the Sevastopol/Crimea region of Ukraine
If your identification is not considered valid, you will not be permitted to start your exam and you are unlikely to receive a refund.
