What form of identification is accepted by Pearson VUE?

You can find the details of acceptable forms of ID either during your exam registration process or in the test appointment confirmation email notification by Pearson VUE.

Identification requirements:

• All IDs must be valid, not expired, government-issued originals, no photocopies
• The ID must include the test-taker's name, signature, and a recent recognizable photo
• The first and last name on the ID must match the first and last name used to register for the exam

Valid ID forms acceptable by Pearson VUE:

• International travel passport
• Driver's license
• Non-US Military ID (including spouse and dependants)
• Identification card (national, state, province)
• Registration card (green card, permanent residence, visa)

 Unacceptable forms of ID:

• Renewal forms with expired IDs, government-issued name change documents with government ID
• Restricted IDs, such as IDs that are prohibited by law from being captured on camera, photocopied, or digitized
• Digital IDs
• IDs from countries where OnVUE delivery is restricted: North Korea, Cuba, Syria, Sudan, Iran, and the Sevastopol/Crimea region of Ukraine

If your identification is not considered valid, you will not be permitted to start your exam and you are unlikely to receive a refund.
